Do I lose control during a hypnotherapy session?

No! You are in complete control of your mind, in fact you are in greater control of your mind during a hypnotherapy session than at any other point of your day. You are simply in an altered but natural state. Hypnotherapy is all about helping you to gain control of your mind.

Can I be hypnotized?

So long as you are willing, and you understand the words I am speaking to you, yes. Hypnosis is a natural state, I guarantee you that you have already been in a state of hypnosis many times throughout your life, there are just deeper levels of hypnosis we can enter with guidance and practice.

Will I remember the session?

Yes, there are the rare cases when a client does not remember the session because they have a natural ability to go into a very deep state of hypnosis, but honestly, I have only had this happen a few times in over 8 years. Once I know this about my client, after the first session, I am trained to work with that natural ability to help them stay in a state where they are able to remember our session, as most people want to remember. Often clients will feel like they do not remember at first when the session ends, but as soon as I start to go over everything with them they remember.

How many sessions will I need?

This really varies with each person. It depends on what we are working on, how much work you have already done, how much “baggage” you are carrying from past experiences that have created the issue. If we are working with trauma, how severe was the trauma. I am however able to give you a bit more guidance with this during the consult once we have spoken.
